Catie Mason Promoted to Executive Director at Renaissance Marquis Retirement Village
December 20, 2024

Rome, Ga. (Dec. 2024) — Renaissance Marquis, a premier retirement community serving Rome, Ga., has promoted Catie Mason to Executive Director. Mason has been a part of the Renaissance Marquis team for over 12 years, starting her career at the community as a caregiver in their state-of-the-art memory care neighborhood, The Harbor.

Mason was promoted to Harbor Director in 2013, while also working to complete her LPN degree from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. As the Harbor Director, Mason oversaw the Harbor staff and managed the day-to-day care and services. In 2016, Mason was promoted to Resident Services Director, where she expanded her role into managing the clinical sectors of the independent living and assisted living neighborhoods, as well as maintaining clinical oversight of The Harbor. After completing Legacy Senior Living’s Executive Director in Training program, Mason was promoted to Assistant Executive Director in 2023.

Upon the promotion of the former Executive Director, Allen Chambers, to Director of Asset Management for the company, Mason was the ideal fit for this position. Having passed her Georgia Administrator’s licensure exam, Renaissance Marquis promoted her to Executive Director.

Mason is naturally drawn towards seniors and the treasures their stories contain. She states, “Serving in senior living is not just about providing care; it’s about honoring a lifetime of experiences, creating meaningful connections, and finding joy in the moments shared. The reward lies in the simple, yet profound, act of making someone’s day a little brighter.”

“From the moment Catie started working for us, her servant-heartedness and passion for providing the highest quality of care set her apart as a leader. It has been exciting to see Catie grow into her leadership positions, and we continue to be amazed by her hard-working spirit and love for seniors,” said Bryan Cook, Co-Founder and President of Legacy Senior Living.

A Rome, Georgia native, Mason and her husband of 12 years, Doug, live with their two children, two dogs and three cats on their 135-acre farm that has been in her family for over 100 years. In her free time, Mason loves to spend time with her family and read.
